Amanda Bennett is the founding principal of AMBIA Lighting Design, LLC. During design school, Amanda became enamored by light’s ability to transform space. She quickly made her way to San Francisco to work with renowned lighting designers. Surrounded by brilliant people and innovative design, she dove into the field, mastering the technical and artistic aspects of architectural lighting design.

After 20 years in the industry, her excitement stays fueled by technology developments and lighting research that warrant a true expert. She is passionate about helping project teams explore and understand how light can elevate, transform, and enhance the form and function of every space.   She seeks to understand the heart of her projects and make decisions that have a lasting positive impact on the people, businesses, and brands she serves.

Amanda is committed to lighting education.  She has presented at Greenbuild, taught the lighting course at Miami University and the University of Cincinnati, and often presents professional seminars.

Outside of the studio, Amanda enjoys spending time with her three boys and husband, exercising, personal reflection and exploring the deeper meaning of life with friends and family.
